There is a recurring theme of Trixie as a walker-on-and-off of the Turnadette relationship. The reason I noticed the UST btw Sister Bernadette and Dr Turner in the Christmas Special was Trixie, who strutted her stuff and who offered some expository remarks on dinner, housekeeper and Timothy — and made femininity a theme: she exposed Dr Turner as a widower surrounded by young unmarried nurses—and a certain nun with a specialty in surgical instruments. The two conversations of Dr Turner and Sister Bernadette and Dr Turner and Trixie could not have been more different, even though the topic was the same in both.
Then there is Trixie offering some bits of totally unsatisfactory news to the poor biscuit-nimbling Doctor when Sister Bernadette is in the sanatorium. Someone should make a picture of these two events. Me, still too ignorant of photoshopping.
